Seal Bay

Nicknamed the dogs of the sea, the Australia Sea Lions are the stars of Kangaroo Island.  With more than 500 seals ruling the island’s coast and seas. Head to Seal Bay, otherwise known as the seal’s home base, where you can see countless sea lions sprinkling the coast. One of the biggest bonus’ with this attraction is that there are absolutely no barriers dividing visitors from the seals. Letting you wander down the soft sands to see these creatures up close and personal! Spot them either frolicking in the water, sunbathing on the rocks, or simply snoozing in the sand.

Remarkable Rocks

This attraction’s name truly matches it completely! Being a large series of granite boulders resting on top of the island’s coastal clifftop. The rocks range in size and shape, all unquie from the last 500 million years of continous erosion. Photos don’t do this sight justice, as you won’t truly understand the true magnitude and glory these rocks possess until you are standing right within them.

Penneshaw

Stop in to see the local charm at Penneshaw! It’s hard to miss this town, being the welcome spot and main ferry port for all visitors. Instead of merely using this town as a starting point, spend a morning or afternoon strolling the town streets to see some of the best local goodies. With museums, countless cafes, and incredible walking tracks a stone throw away from the centre of it all.

Admirals Arch

A natural phenomenon, moulded by centuries of sea spray and cutting winds, the Admiral’s Arch is well worth the spot in. Travel here at sunset or sunrise and get the perfect snapshot for your travels, with the glow of orange hitting both the sea, sand, and sparkling rock arch.

Flinders Chase National Park

Sick of the concrete jungle? Lucky for you, Kangaroo Island is jam-packed with incredible wildlife. Lace up those walking shoes and set off within the national park to see all of Australia’s most beloved animals. Strain your eyes looking up to spot a snoozing koala in the treetops, bend down to see a nearby lizard sun baking, and even snap a photo of a grazing kangaroo!
