For those looking for a picture-perfect tropical getaway, the Whitsundays are for you! Jam-pcked with rainforests. beaches, clear blue skies, and plenty of humidity. But where do you begin? Follow my tips on what to see and the best way to go about it!

Check out the local Wildlife at Conway National Park

If you are interested in the herd of squawking birds, slithering reptiles, and the million shades of green plant life, then heading into the Conway National park is your best bet. Immerse yourself in the rainforest, trekking down the many walking paths cutting through the thick bushland. Keep your eyes peeled, as animals roam both he treetops and the forest floor! If you are after a true adventure, head to the nearby waterfalls and beaches, with many unique flora and fauna on display along the way.

Bring lots of sunscreen to Whitehaven Beach

No matter how confident you are on your tanning abilities, the whitsundays are here to set you straight. As Australia is in Southern Hemisphere, the sun is a lot stronger, and if not careful, can turn anyone a lobster red for the remainder of their trip. Whitehaven beach is a pristine region, with pure white sand stretching across its 7 kilometres of beachfront. However, due to this, the white sand can easily reflect the beaming sunray right back at you, making it an even greater burning zone. But the good news is that it can easily be avoided, with a thick layer of sunscreen to fight any chance of burning. After this, you can enjoy your day with no fear, sunbaking away or plunging into the crystal-clear waters.

Cool off at the Cedar Creek Falls

The blistering sun and thick humidity can tire anyone out. But a great step in stay refreshed is visiting freshwater swimming spot, with Whitsunday’s Cedar Creek falls a number one pick. This secluded waterfall cascades into a pristine blue-green watering hole, offering a truly serene swimming experience. If you are lucky, you might even be joined with the local turtles!

Snorkel or Scuba dive at the Great Barrier Reef

No trip to the Whitsunday is complete without seeing iconic Great Barrier Reef. Set right next door to the region, the reef is home to thousands of marine species, giving travellers a once in a lifetime experience under the water. Take a boat out to the outer ocean and snorkel and scuba dive to your heart’s desire!

Try out Sailing (even if you are a newbie)

Sailing might not be your number one pick for your holiday activities, but in the Whitsundays, it is a practically a necessity. It is one of the best and easiest ways to see all the sights, sailing to remote islands, reef spots, and beaches throughout the area.

You must not miss the Whitsunday Tours while you’re in the area!
